Triton Expands UK Operations
In a move to enhance processing, service and support operations in the European
ATM market, a Triton subsidiary, Calypso Europe, has acquired various business
assets from two UK based ATM management companies. In March, Calypso acquired
the ATM estate and ATM management services of Cash Point Machines and the ATM
estate, repair and warehousing operations of InfoCash.
Calypso Europe, along with Calypso Canada, are the ATM processing and estate
management arm of leading ATM manufacturer Triton, a part of the Dover
Corporation. Between the two acquisitions, Calypso Europe has acquired
processing agreements in excess of 15 million ATM transactions per year.
The acquisition is part of Triton’s long-term strategy to build on their global
success in the ATM industry and provide high-quality, cost-effective ATM
equipment, processing and service for the ATM market. Triton will continue to
sell ATM solutions for the retail market exclusively through IAD (Independent
ATM Deployer) partners. These acquisitions position Triton to provide direct
in-country warehousing, parts, repair, and technical service related support
for all their products. In addition, Calypso Europe will provide expanded ATM
processing, monitoring and management services. These acquisitions will provide
further in-country support services for IAD’s to grow their retail ATM
business.
“This opportunity is part of our long-term strategic vision to provide enhanced
in-country operational segments that are necessary for the attainment of our
goals, in this significant market,” said Triton President Brian Kett.
“This is a positive move by Triton and Calypso,” said Ed Ram, a co-founder of
Cash Point Machines, who will own and continue to operate as an IAD servicing
the UK market. “This is very good news for the markets in the UK which have not
yet been fully explored, particularly since Calypso has such sophisticated
processing solutions and Triton with their cost-effective ATM products. They
are absolutely the right business partners.”
According to Eamonn O'Nolan of InfoCash, “The success of InfoCash cash machines
and our reputation has been built on the outstanding support and service given
to customers. I am confident that this tradition will be elevated to a new
level with Triton and Calypso.”
“We look forward to expanding our operations and commitment to this key market,
” said Kett. “This will allow us to provide Triton technical, and processing
support offering to our partners and customers in the UK market. This is
another positive step in Triton’s goals to expand its international presence.”
