DPL Group’s Hercules+ receives certification

ST. JOHN, New Brunswick — Calypso Canada Ltd. has tested and certified for processing The DPL Group’s Hercules+ Wireless for ATMs product. Calypso also is monitoring ATMs that use Triton Connect with Hercules+’s two-way non-spoofing capability.

According to a news release, Hercules+ provides full, non-spoof data communications to ATMs, allowing the use of manufacturers’ software to manage those ATMs.

An antitheft alert module also is an available option.

In July, the Hercules program stopped an ATM theft, after an alert was sent via cell phone to the ATM’s owner. Now the owner, who manages a retail location, is in the process of switching all of his ATMs from land-line to wireless connectivity.
